Parent and Grandparent Sponsorships
Notification of eligibility for the Parent/Grandparent sponsorship draws for 2017 will be sent out between April 25 and May 8.
The initial notifications were followed by a second notification, as IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) failed to indicate the name of the recipient. Do not be concerned if you have received more than one letter from IRCC. If you are expecting a notification, but have not yet received, one, be sure to check your SPAM or Junk folder. The email address sending the notification is: NePasRepondre-DoNotReply@cic.gc.ca . It would be a good idea to add that address to your authorized list.
If you received a positive response, remember that you have only 90 days to gather and prepare all the documents for submission. Please make sure you are truly eligible to apply as you would otherwise risk refusal of the application. Remember that 90,000 people applied but only 10,000 will be selected. Many of these won’t be eligible, and as a result, there are other deserving families who will be disappointed.
